Beatnik Games Announces Plain Sight

Fledging UK indie developer Beatnik Games has announced its debut title in the form of XNA-based 3D multiplayer arcade game Plain Sight, scheduled for release on PC early 2009, with a planned Xbox 360 version to follow.
Plain Sight sees you guiding an exploding robot with a huge sword around a futuristic cityscape packed with other exploding robots, also with huge swords. The goal is simple: gain points by slaughtering your fellow players then bank those points by detonating your silly robot self, massing up huge point multipliers depending on the number of opponents you managed to take out in the resulting blast.
That’s you, from a distance.
Following its public beta in November, Plain Sight is set to retail for a paltry 10 British pounds on release in early 2009. You can check out the official Plain Sight website for more details, info on beta sign-up and a rather nifty trailer too.
