Generally, you don’t hear EA talking about its football games this early in the year, but virtual pigskin tradition be damned, NCAA Football 11 news just popped up at the Game Developers Conference.
Roy Harvey, executive producer on NCAA Football 11, gave a presentation at EA’s Season Opener party in San Francisco this evening. In between talking about what players want (awesome gameplay and true-to-life authenticity) and how much people dug last year’s online create-a-team option (there were 100,000 teams created before
the game’s launch and 500,000 to date), he touched on what the team took away from the reaction to the last outing — and what they are trying to address.
On the list of things EA hopes to improve in NCAA Football 11? Refs, auto-rosters, auto-save, dynamic logos, gang tackles, formation subs, and more. Now, there’s no guarantee that all of these issues will be addressed, but Harvey seemed confident in this year’ product.
“There’s some really, really big stuff coming,” he said.
